What’s in a name?

The word “Christadelphian” is not well-known. Although there are plenty of search results, it might not be on your device’s spellchecker, your friends may not have heard it, and even students of religious groups might struggle to remember what this word means.

This word sounds related to Christianity, but perhaps not in the same vein, and although the Bible records how the first believers were called Christians, there are many derivatives of this system of belief. So how do we explain what the Christadelphian name means, how it came about and why it is important to be called this?
