A new beginning
There is something gloriously exciting about a new beginning.
Freely given
Why is it so crucial that things are free of charge? And how can we be generous to people?
Hello, friend
There are many types of friends, and you've probably
I’m new here!
Yes, absolutely. The reason for this site is that we believe the Bible is the only place to find a positive, enduring plan for humankind. We want to show you this!
The Bible tells us about plenty of occasions where the power of Jesus’ work was revealed, even in difficult circumstances. Have a look at chapters like Acts 4, in particular verse 12.
Then why not read Romans 15:1-13? This tells us how to apply hope within a life of belief and faith.
You can use our website search bar to look for topics like “hope“.
When you’ve had a look at those, why not read our magazines, or listen to some of our audio resources?
We have a number of study guides available on our topic explainer.
The text of the Bible (even many of the older translations) is subject to copyright rules, so we don’t host full copies on this site. Three of our favourite Bible reading websites are Blue Letter Bible, Bible Gateway and YouVersion. Each site has its own flavour and different tools, and they also provide mobile apps.
We’d encourage you to read the Bible (sometimes called the “Scriptures”) for yourself. In Acts 17:11, we even read how early believers did this to verify what the Apostle Paul said!
We’d be delighted if you accept the same message we do – we think it will offer you the only chance of lasting, positive change.
But we would never force people to accept the message which we have found in the Bible. It’s your call, always.
We believe wholeheartedly that the Good News is true. We are deeply committed to the hope we have found.
However, making people accept a message is a different idea entirely. This usually means it is resented, and deep down, we would expect people will either stop believing entirely, or they will maintain their original thoughts about a subject.
You can see how people made up their own minds about the message of Jesus and his servants in Bible chapters like Acts 13. This teaches us that we should let others do the same.
We want to help you discover the original principles within the Bible and learn about our community.
Christian believers live a life of devotion to God’s ways. Part of this involves spreading the light of the Good News, or Gospel, and inviting others to share in the future age of perfection. This is why this website is here.
Our community (“fellowship”) exists on the basis of principles that have been laid down in the Bible, which contains the basic message of the Gospel and many in-depth passages about faith, lifestyle, God’s followers in the past, and prophecies (predictions) about the future.
Our groups are known as ecclesias, and they usually meet each week for communion services.
These services centre on taking bread and wine, which are symbols of the sacrifice that Jesus made. We often refer to such a session as the “breaking of bread”, as this is the main focus.
Around this focal point, the services are simple, but also include prayers, Bible readings and music (usually hymns). You can read more about the first breaking of bread in Matthew 26.
A typical time of the week would be Sunday mornings, but we don’t insist that these services are held on Sundays at all.
Most Christadelphian ecclesias do not worship in anything that looks like a typical church.
Occasionally, buildings do bear resemblance to a chapel, usually because that was a previous use under another group.
We carry out services in a variety of venues, including our own buildings, hired halls and even homes (for smaller groups). What matters to us is the community of believers, known between us as “brothers and sisters”, who form the true church in the name of Jesus Christ.
We also hold a significant number of other spiritual events, including Bible study groups, youth events, livestreamed talks and exhibitions.
Our overall numbers are small, but we do our best to reach out to our community, with several annual residential events in different countries.
For those outside our organisation, we aim to live up to the principle of loving our neighbours. Many Christadelphians volunteer, donate to charity or visit less privileged areas to provide humanitarian support.
