  • Signs of the times

Is there a logical reason to be concerned about our times, or about the future? After all, the earth has been around for a long time and things seem to be alright. However, more and more people are concerned about mankind’s future. Which is why knowing about Bible prophecy and the ‘signs of the times’ God has given us is so important.

  • The Bible stands the test of time: the search for Sodom

The destruction of Sodom is described graphically in the Bible and recent discoveries prove the Bible account is true. It was one of ‘the cities of the plain’ and was the place where Lot, Abraham’s nephew, chose to live. The whole environment was evil, immoral and godless. Its similarity to many places in the world now makes its total destruction a lesson that should not go unnoticed today.

  • Sir Isaac Newton and the BIG G

The story about an apple falling on Sir Isaac Newton’s head is well known, but may not be totally accurate. However, it took a very special mind to first ask ‘why things fall?’ and then spend 20 years answering the question. The answer, unlike many scientific theories, has stood the test of time. His work on ‘gravity’ prompted Newton to write that “this most elegant system of the sun, planets and comets could not have arisen without the design and dominion of an intelligent and powerful being”.

  • What did Jesus mean?: ‘suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me…’

If we look at the events leading up to these words of Jesus, we see that he had been working tirelessly in his ministry to preach the gospel. Many ignored his preaching because they thought they knew better. Whereas anyone prepared to listen and learn, like little children, are those who will soon benefit from this ‘good news’.
