Good News about how our world will change The Good News is that for a chaotic world that's so full of bad news, God plans to make a 'fresh start' when Jesus returns. "This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11 NIV) Good News about the Kingdom of God God's Kingdom will replace every government that exists now and bring worldwide peace instead of bloodshed and violence. "They will beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, neither will they train for war any more. (Isaiah 2:4 NIV) Good News about the Knowledge of God The time will soon come when all the world will know the truth about God, who created our world and controls its future. "They will neither harm nor destroy...for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea" (Isaiah 11:9 NIV) Good News about God's love The mercy and forgiveness of God will be fully seen when the curse of sin and death has gone from the world for ever. "Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ... it is by grace you have been saved" (Ephesians 2:4-5 NIV) Good News about the Resurrection God has given us all a real hope for the future, to be raised from the dead to enjoy the benefits of his Kingdom, without poverty, famine and disease. "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves...will rise to live" (John 5:28-29 NIV) Good News about Eternal Life God has made a promise that all who believe and are baptised will live for ever, free from pain and suffering. "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain" (Revelation 21:4 NIV)
