Our beliefs

God made the world and has a plan for it. His son, Jesus, was born as a mortal man. He experienced and felt the same things as we do, but lived a unique life of complete service for his Father. Because of this, he was a perfect sacrifice when he died at the request of the Jews, around 30AD, in the turbulent era of the Roman Empire. After three days, he was raised, and later joined God in Heaven. One day soon, he will return, just as he left the surface of the earth.

The Bible is God’s Word – guidance, wisdom and hope from the highest of sources. We believe in discovering the original message which it contains.

The Bible we know today was compiled shortly after Jesus left the company of the early Christian believers. It contains passages dated across many hundreds of years, and the writers were given direct guidance from the Holy Spirit. Indeed, the Bible is how we experience the Holy Spirit power for ourselves today. It holds the key to salvation, explaining that Christ’s death and unquestionable resurrection has given us hope.

We have been able to match parts of the Bible’s message (prophecy and predictions) to the world events of today. The Word of God tells us how this is the precursor to Jesus returning from Heaven. He will overcome the evil state of the earth and begin a righteous reign. This will be far better than anything we can currently create for ourselves.

Even better, faithful believers will be able to join in this time, whether they are alive now, or even if they are currently dead. Their deaths have always led to a state of complete unconsciousness, just like the passing of any other man or woman. But those who accept the Good News can be resurrected, just like Jesus was. Resurrection means that a member of God’s family is brought back to life.

Accepting these truths, held by the Christadelphians, means you are a brother or sister of Christ: waiting to be his companion in his Kingdom. It is important to read the whole Bible and study the meaning of it, take the message to heart, and undertake a willing adult baptism. This is a full immersion of the body in water, taking place in front of as many witnesses as possible.

After this time, it is the duty of the believer to remember Christ in taking bread and wine, and to live a life of devotion to God’s ways. Part of this involves spreading the light of the Good News, or Gospel, and inviting others to share in the future age of perfection. This is why this website is here.
